Meet Mark and Yura
We care for every baby as if they were our own.
Hi, we’re Mark and Yura. We have photographed newborns, babies and families for 15 years, first in Sydney and now from our North Lakes studio.
Our approach
Safety, hygiene and your baby come first.
Because we work with babies, safety and hygiene always come first. We prepare the studio, props, wraps and everything used during the session with care. We handle every baby gently and patiently, with the same attention we would give our own baby.
Fifteen years of experience has taught us how babies respond at different ages. For 100-day and first-birthday sessions, we use age-appropriate play, sounds and attention techniques to encourage natural smiles. Crying is uncommon in our sessions because we work with each baby’s mood instead of forcing the moment.
For newborn sessions, we use gentle settling methods developed over many years to help most babies relax and sleep, including babies who are often difficult to settle. We watch your baby’s cues and adjust the pace rather than expecting every baby to respond in the same way.
We never rush a baby. There is always time for feeding, changing and settling. If your baby needs longer, we can extend the session at no extra charge. Your baby’s comfort, safety and your satisfaction remain at the heart of the whole experience.
Older newborns welcome
Your baby has not missed the moment.
The earliest newborn days can create curled, sleepy portraits, but they are not the only beautiful stage. Older newborns bring stronger eye contact, early expressions and a different kind of connection.
We adjust the session to your baby’s age and what they are comfortable doing on the day. If your baby has already arrived, please ask. We would much rather talk through the possibilities than have you assume it is too late.
